Jade Vine (Strongylodon macrobotrys), also known as emerald vine or turquoise jade vine is a leguminous vine native to the Philippines. Locally known as Tayabak, it was discovered in 1841 on Mount Makiling. The beauty and uniqueness of it’s flower make it one of the most expensive in the world.

It blooms usually in April or May. In the wild these attract tropical bats which carry pollen from one plant to another.
