Copeland's Pitcher Plant

Copeland’s Pitcher Plant, named after Edwin Copeland is a species of pitcher plant native to Mindanao in the Philippines. It also grows in Mount Apo, Davao City, Camiguin, and Mount Pasian. It’s attitude ranges from 1100–2400 m above sea level and has no known plant hybrids and varieties. This species produces copious long, elegant, and vividly colored pitchers. It has winged petioles, lids with upper peaches broadest at the base, and the lower side has basal ridges that often elaborate into appendages. The species altitude range is 1100–2400 m above sea level. In Mount Apo, the Copeland’s Pitcher Plant has been cultivated since the early 1980s.
